The Asas do Oeste Club
The free flight club “ASAS DO OESTE-CVL” has its embryo in the paragliding pilots trained by the Wind Centro school, during the 90's, who were initially members of the club “Montanhismo da Arrábida.
In the year 2000, the local instructor created the “adventure section” in the “Friends of Wildlife” (AVS) club. On that date, the pilots trained by the Wind Centro delegation were affiliated to the AVS-Alcanena club, where they remained until the end of 2020. During these two decades, all the pilots trained by the Wind Centro training unit were placed in the AVS club.
On August 12, 2020, a public deed was drawn up creating the club ASAS DO OESTE - CLUBE DE VOO LIVRE, headquartered in Alcobaça, initially with five founding members.
In January 2021, the Asas do Oeste–CVL club starts its activity, receiving all AVS pilots, which ended its free flight activity.
